Bad Wildbad in the Northern Black Forest is easy to reach, just about 25 km south of Pforzheim. Depending on which direction you wish to reach Bad Wildbad from, we recommend the following routes:
From the North: Coming from the A8, take the exit Pforzheim-West and follow the signs for B294 in the direction of Bad Wildbad. In the district of Calmbach, in the traffic circle take the L351 in the direction of Bad Wildbad.
From the East: Coming from the A81, you can take either of the exits Böblingen or Herrenberg, heading in the direction of Calw. From Calw, follow the B296 to Calmbach, and in the centre of Calmbach turn right towards Bad Wildbad.
From the South: From Freudenstadt, please follow the B294 to Besenfeld. Shortly after Besenfeld, take the K4772. After a short drive through the Enztal (Enz Valley), you will reach Bad Wildbad.
From the West: You can reach us by the B462, which goes from the Rheintal (Rhein Valley) through the Murgtal (Murg Valley). After Gernsbach, turn left onto the L76b in the direction of Kaltenbronn. Follow this road until it joins the L351 in the Enztal (Enz Valley) where it continues on to Bad Wildbad. If you like a more twisty route, you can also take the Autobahn A5 to Karlsruhe, and continue on the A8 to Bad Wildbad (see directions: "From the North").
For a particularly eco-friendly trip, you can travel by rail to the Black Forest Treetop Walk in Bad Wildbad. With the long distance trains of the DB, you can travel via Karlsruhe or Stuttgart to Pforzheim and from there continue with the Stadtbahn (city railway) line S6, the so-called Enztalbahn (Enz Valley Railway), to Bad Wildbad. You can also use Karlsruhe's city rail network AVG to take the S6 line to Bad Wildbad. In Bad Wildbad, S6 Uhlandplatz (Sommerbergbahn) station is right beside the funicular railway station, which will take you up the Sommerberg to the treetop walk. For this purpose, make use of our combined ticket offers.
