Along the walk, various aspects of animal and plant life in the Black Forest are presented and brought to life for the visitor. Local tree species and their various growth conditions, relics of
original vegetation, and the Northern Black Forest with its recreational
and culinary attractions, are illustrated on the way to the tower.
The biodiversity of the mixed mountain woodland, old growth decay processes, tree crown research and the bird sanctuary are discussed at various stations along the walk, giving the visitor interesting insights into the woodland environment by sight and touch.
Activity stations and fun features along the treetop walk are great for visitors of all ages.
