The Black Forest treetop walk opened to the public on September 26th, 2014 on the Sommerberg, which lies within the municipality of Bad Wildbad.
The walkway is 1,250 meters long and up to 20 meters high, featuring informative stations and activity points. Its highlight is the 40 meter high, achitecturally unique view tower. Once you reach the view platform you are rewarded with an impressive view out over the sea of thick woodlands of the Black Forest.
The facilities offer suitable activities for visitors of all ages and open up new perspectives on nature and environment.
The whole treetop walk is barrier-free and there are no steps, which contributes to making the walk an ideal trip destination for parents with prams and wheelchair users alike. There is sufficient parking directly on the Sommerberg and in the valley as well, in Bad Wildbad.
From Bad Wildbad, you can reach the treetop walk quickly by taking the modern, picturesque Sommerbergbahn tramway.
